As part of my artistic responsibilities as part of Team Chivalry, I was responsible for the modeling and texturing of a falcata is one of the player weapons currently slated for use in Chivalry: Battle for Agatha. A falcata is an unusual shape; a forward-curved shortsword that was used in Ancient Rome

For the creation of the falcata, I began by modeling and UV-Mapping the blade straight, and as a final touch added a "bend" modifier in Max to get the final curve. Below is a screengrab from Unreal Engine 3.
